Meet Jessica

Hi! I'm Jessica Rae, owner, creative force and principal stylist of The Colour Room Salon. My love affair with hair kicked off in high school. Picture this: a 15-year-old me, fearlessly chopping and dyeing my own locks. Crazy, right?

San Antonio, Texas, my hometown, has been my anchor and inspiration. After earning my professional license in 2009. Fresh at 19, I jumped into those super-busy salons, getting my hands deep into cutting and coloring. But man, that hustle and bustle?! It wore me down. By 2012, I took a wild detour into the banking world. It didn't take long to realize I missed my shears way too much.

Flash forward to 2014, and voilà! The Colour Room sprouted in a bedroom of my home (hence the name). By 25, I went all out, turning my passion project into the real deal. Business was booming, I was prepping for baby girl number two, and I needed backup. Enter the apprenticeship program in 2018. Spoiler: I found out I'm as stoked about teaching as I am about styling.

Every assistant on our team has been meticulously nurtured under my guidance, blossoming into skilled artists in their own right. This industry isn't just a job for me; it's a passion. Each day brings an opportunity to ensure you feel welcome, relaxed, and rejuvenated after your visit. My hope is that every client walks out feeling confident, with a touch of The Colour Room magic.
